you, is from Tony, who has supported
what I do for a long time.
His emails to me are always a joy
to read as he clearly puts a lot of
time and effort into them.
Also, he never holds back. It also
reminds us that we should not
forget that some people still need
help.
Here is Tom’s email…
Great to read your heartfelt "confession"...
thanks for sharing it.
Am not well at the moment.
Recovering from a bad bout of bronchitis
that is now into week 5... though thankfully
am happy to report am improving.
Not been following any news over this last
month but have watched the final matches
of the season... Giro d'Italia... Formula 1 GPs...
French Open tennis... not even watched today's
racing :-(
My faith in humanity is somewhat dented.
During this time of illness no chance of seein
a doctor... but went to pharmacy and they
provided some linctus that has helped.
Trying to obtain help through friends has
been depressingly non existent... nobody
willing to help with shopping or deliveries
for fear of catching COVID 19... Even though
had tested negative.
It's been a long month that has been an
eye opener.
Laymen are now proficient diagnosticians
who know better than trained clinicians!
Rarely ask for help but when I do it's because
really needed.
So... your email puts into perspective how
the other half live... well... not really half...
the privileged few need for nothing...
None of us can help being born into our situations.
It's patently obvious there are some in life who
abuse their position of privilege including in the
Royal family.
None of us are perfect but we must strive to
make the best of our lot in life.
Time is a precious commodity.
To give our time freely to share with others
is a special gift.
The Queen has done so many times in the
confines of her life's restricted protocols.
Her position in life has been handsomely
rewarded and in return has helped to unite
the nation with dignity.
Surviving countless governments.
It is regrettable her sons can't hold a
candle to her.
Enjoy your weekend ;-)
Feel free to comment and maybe
help Tom feel better about things
in general.
